Seasonal and Theme Decorating

Is your family one that celebrates several of the year's big holidays with theme decorating? Would you like your family to start decorating for various holidays? Seasonal, holiday, and theme decorating can be a lot of fun, and can help bring your family closer together.

Celebrating holiday traditions has long been a bonding practice in cultures all over the world. Maybe you, like us, think that the American Melting Pot has melted a bit too much to the point where the wonderfully colorful events each year are getting a short shrift.

You can start your own traditions with decorating for seasonal events at other various times each year. Lots of us decorate for Halloween and Christmas, but how many of us decorate for the Spring Equinox, or St. Patrick's Day, or Valentine's Day, or Independence Day? There are lots of family traditions just waiting for each of us to create, and memories that will never go away.

There are wonderful traditions celebrated by traditional Christian, Muslim, Jewish, and Hindu Americans that can be adopted and specifically celebrated. If you're not a member of a particular religion, celebrating seasonal events or national holidays can be a lot of fun. Add to that, the fact that many people create competing Christmas parties each year but how many have a Columbus Day party to conflict with yours? Claim a holiday for your own family and run with it! It's fun!

Choose a date in the summertime to celebrate the summer, or choose a date in the fall to start putting up Fall home decorations. They'll work for Halloween, and into Thanksgiving. Then you can put up Winter themed decorations that can stay up after Christmas so you can keep enjoying the season long after the 12 days of Christmas are over. Lets bond with our families and have some great family holiday fun.
